I have arc to to run rusty hearts because im brand new to it and i really wanna keep playing why dosent steam take this game from arc and keep it going if if it 3 years old there is a lot more mmos out there that are over 3 years old. So why not keep it going i love this game to much to just lose everythig now!!! The only games Steam/Valve runs are their own (ex: Portal, Team Fortress, DOTA). Steam really is just a digital store front combined with a community system. If you play Rusty Hearts through Steam, or Arc, you're still connecting through PWE's servers, and dealing with PWE's services.
Once PWE ends the services of a game they host, that's it, unless some other publisher takes over, but considering the apparent state of the Rusty Hearts even in Korea, there's really no chance of that happening. Rusty Hearts shutting down was meant to happen sooner or later. The fact that it lasted up until now shows the great quality of the game, but at the stage Rusty Hearts is in, there is no way it could have been saved, therefore, after long time of waiting, PWE decided to shut it down.In fact, Sega did not need much time to understand it, and closed it before things would go out of control and lose their customers' trust.i, myself, have put a considerable amount of cash in this game and the community, however there is no regret in my heart for spending it in this game, cause the happinnes it created is not a waste. Of course it is unforunate that we will not be able to play this game anymore, but i am glad that those who have no idea on the state of this game will not waste more Zen on this game.Shutting down also gives those who were too attached to this game space to try out new games and enjoy other experiences.

Cover it up all you want, PWE is a garbage company and they shut this game down after not updating it for 2 whole years.
Thats ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥t either freaking way. I wish it were that easy to 'find other games to play' but not many games of this genre are in the US, right now you have the option of Dark Blood, Grand Chase, and elsword and if you prefer a less cute artstyle then the last two are out. Dunno when DFO will be in beta but, my point is this genre of game always seems to get treated unfairly by pubs so im not looking at this as something to move on from. I play other games, but this genre is not respected in the US and thats BS. Originally posted by:Rusty Hearts shutting down was meant to happen sooner or later.

I know that in the past people even lost Zen without getting refund, and what is more important critical for a publisher than the comsumer having trouble with anything related to cash? Let alone the rest.
Also, i played this game since its release on steam, so i guess i 'treated it fairly'. Originally posted by:thank you fro understanding this game should get a new publisher and kepting going for the rusty heart fans to injoyi understand that the community enjoyed this game a lot. However for a publisher, this game and everything related to it is just business. You could say Rusty Hearts - Japanese Version was the best, and yet they quit first. Because even the creators, Rusty Hearts - Korean Version, were/are having trouble running the game. Short said, Sega, a worldwide known company, has acknowledged the failure of Rusty Hearts. Please tell me who could possibly try to save it when they did not?
